What’s Trending - Rewire your brain for happiness
Can you rewire your brain for happiness? Dr. Sanjay Gupta weighs in.
Happiness is an idea that has been woven into the fabric of humanity, going back to ancient civilizations.
Roughly 250 years ago, it made its way into this country’s Declaration of Independence as an unalienable right: “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Although we’ve grappled with it for millennia, the concept of happiness and how to attain it remains pretty elusive. Some might see it as having a sense of general well-being. For others, it might be feeling a spark of unadulterated joy. Yet others might find happiness chasing a dream and reaching it. It might be some combination of these – or something else entirely.
Even though “the pursuit of Happiness” is built into the country’s founding, it seems that many Americans are just not that good at it. In the most recent World Happiness Report, the United States dropped to No. 23 (from No. 15 the previous year), marking the first time in the report’s 12-year history that the US was not in the top 20 happiest countries.
A separate Gallup poll, also from 2024, found that less than half (47%) of Americans are “very satisfied” with their personal lives.
So, what can you do about it?…….

Health Hack of the Week - Worst Foods for your Teeth
3 of the worst foods for your teeth and how to prevent damage, according to dental experts
Candy is not great for your teeth, but it's not the only thing to be mindful of for better oral health.
"It's not just obvious sugary treats that pose a risk to teeth," registered dental hygienist Whitney DiFoggio told CBS News. "Some less suspecting culprits can be just as harmful."
The worst offenders you might not realize?
Sugary or acidic drinks: That incudes your favorite sodas, sports drinks, energy drinks and even fruit juices. Cosmetic dentist Dr. Lana Rozenberg called these the "the biggest culprits."
Any drink containing a high amount of sugar "sits in between the teeth and it's very bad for your teeth, because then it can lead to decay," she said.
See the list of the THREE worst foods, and how to prevent damage here.

Study links talc use to ovarian cancer — a potential boon for thousands suing J&J
Johnson & Johnson has argued in court that studies haven’t found a convincing link between ovarian cancer and talc powder. A new analysis suggests they are indeed associated.
New research published this week lends credence to the more than 50,000 lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson that allege its talc-based baby powder caused ovarian cancer.
The analysis, released Wednesday in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, found that applying talc powder to the genitals was associated with ovarian cancer — and that the association was greater for people who used the powder frequently or for long periods of time.
The researchers are from the National Institutes of Health, and their findings were based on data from the Sister Study, which enrolled more than 50,000 women in the U.S. from 2003 to 2009. The participants joined when they were between 35 and 74 years old, and each had a sister who’d been diagnosed with breast cancer, which might put them at increased risk for breast or ovarian cancer.

Want Clear Skin? Try These 10 Recipes
When you think “skin care” you probably imagine cleansers and creams, but what you eat and drink plays an equally important role in achieving healthy, glowing skin. After all, skin is an organ, the largest one we have. And just as prioritizing foods with certain nutrients can help support heart health or brain health, there are foods that nourish your skin.
There are plenty of reasons you want healthy skin, and not all are cosmetic. Skin acts as a protective barrier against the external environment and works to protect us from UV light, microorganisms, and dehydration. A skin-nourishing diet can protect against outside potential harmful invaders, keep our skin hydrated, and prevent dry and flaky skin. There are even certain nutrients found in foods that have a sunscreen-like effect against ultraviolet light.
What Nutrients Are Good for Skin?
Antioxidants
Omega-3 Fats
Vitamin E
Vitamin C
